Services include:

VACCINE FOR CHILDREN (VFC) IMMUNIZATION CLINIC
The VFC program provides vaccines for all children from birth through 18 years of age who meet one of the following criteria:Child has no health insurance coverage
Child is American Indian or Alaskan Native
Child is enrolled in Medicaid
Child is underinsured: Underinsured means the child has some type of health insurance, but the benefit plan does not include immunizations

Second Tuesday of the month from 2-5 p.m.
The following Wednesday from 9 a.m. - noon and 2-5 p.m.

Foot care is provided for persons who may have problems performing this care themselves due to visual or other physical limitations

A MATTER OF BALANCE
A Matter of Balance is an evidence-based program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase the activity level of older adults who have concerns about falls. Classes are taught by trained volunteer coaches. They consist of eight, two-hour sessions and are offered throughout the county.For more information contact Public Health at 712-364-7311
RESOURCE REFERRAL AND HEALTH EDUCATION
Horn Public Health serves as a health resource to the community and provides referrals to services. We can provide presentations on a variety of health topics.EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Ida County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)The mission of the Ida County MRC is to identify, educate and train local volunteers who can help improve community emergency preparedness and be readily mobilized to supplement hospital and public health operations during times of major healthcare needs and promote healthy living throughout the year
Residents, 18 years and older, are encouraged to join the MRC. Applications can be obtained by calling the Community Health office at 712-364-7311
